DANOFFEE. THE POWER OF FLOWER.
Danoffee is a small brand formed when a high-quality coffee alternative was not found within the Europe. The journey of Danoffee started with the of discovery dandelion as a drink and the benefits of the root itself. As this search widened and we sort products, that we wanted to consume ourselves, it became obvious that little was being offered that was suitable for our needs.
So, we began to look for the raw ingredients from reputable suppliers and learn how to process it turning into a coffee substitute which is practical to use and enjoyable to drink. This discovery continues as we strive to discover more ways in which dandelion can be used, we regularly find more recipes which make the consumption of dandelion fun and interesting.
In addition to our delightful dandelion coffee, Danoffee offers a range of premium health supplements designed to support your overall wellness. Our products are formulated with natural ingredients, ensuring you receive the nutrients your body craves. From supplements and minerals to herbal powders, each supplement is crafted with care and backed by scientific research.
Our goal is simple, we sell what we like to consume ourselves, if its not good enough for us, then it’s not good enough for you.
We love to hear from our customers as this helps us grow, so if you have heard of a recipe, that we have not used or a blend we do not sell, we would love to hear from you.
Dandelion Coffee Benefits
The dandelion (lat. Taraxacum officinale) , also sometimes called Lion’s mane, is a small, bright yellow flower with a “furry” flower head that closes-up at night. It is native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa, but has become naturalized in the rest of the world, where it is often found in the wild, and for the most part seen as a weed.
All parts of the dandelion have been used in traditional medicines for centuries. In traditional Chinese medicine, dandelion root is used to treat gut, liver, and lung diseases. Herbalists today believe that it can aid in the treatment of many ailments, including acne, eczema, high cholesterol, heartburn, gastrointestinal disorders.
#loveyourliver needs to be the new hashtag of the year, since this precious organ seems to do more for us than we have understood! There are special liver supporting properties which are unique to the root of dandelion in particular. Even traditional European herbal medicine used dandelion root to support liver function. So, in reality the dandelion plant has not always been the “obnoxious” yellow weed that many know it as today…
Dandelion root is believed to have anti-diabetic properties due to a soluble fiber known as inulin. Inulin contains a complex carbohydrate known as fructooligosaccharide (FOS) which supports the growth of healthy bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract and eliminates the unhealthy ones.
The dandelion root is rich in antioxidants, minerals, trace elements and contains appetizing bitter substances, and as such it makes an appearance in many detox and cleansing recipes. It is also worth noting dandelion’s high potassium content; many diuretics leach the body of this important mineral, but dandelion replenishes that.
It turns out the humble dandelion is an amazing substitute for coffee with healthy properties that support liver and healthy digestion, reduce bloating but without negative impact of caffeine.
To summarize the above in a list, Dandelion root:
Reduces water weight
Promotes Liver Health
Being a Bitter Dandelion stimulates digestion
Relieves constipation
Rich in prebiotics
High potassium content
Aids in the Prevention of UTI
Rich in Antioxidant
Good source of Inulin
Back to why we are here, Dandelion Root makes a great substitution for coffee with zero caffeine. While a little bitter, which in reality it is no more bitter than your standard cup of unsweetened coffee. All of these great properties aside, when searching for Dandelion Root coffee in the aisles of your local supermarkets or online, look for naturally ground roots only no additives.
Be wary of coffee substitutes that might be sweetened or contain components like Beetroot extract or Barley which are added to alter the taste. It is my view that 100 percent organic and natural is always better, than some brew drawn together in a laboratory. Ladies and gents this could just be the one we have been searching for.
